Liquid Space: The Submarine Voyage

This June, Disneyland is going to open the new Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. I'm so excited! The old ride was one of my favorites. I found an old ride-through video that is fun to watch.

Celebrity Sighting: Anna Chancellor

While waiting for my grande red-eye with room for milk at the Malibu Starbucks, I stood right next to Anna Chancellor. She is best known to me as the actress from Four Weddings and a Funeral, playing the Character Henrietta, a.k.a. Hen, a.k.a. Duck Face. She has a wonderful English accent and is really beautiful in person.

Her work includes:

  1. Four Weddings and a Funeral
  2. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
  3. "Fortysomething"
  4. Crush
  5. The Man Who Knew Too Little
  6. "Pride and Prejudice"
I have added her to my extensive list of famous people sightings.

Portland and What I'm Reading Now

I just made it back to California from Oregon. I lost the book I was reading "Brimstone" (I think I left it on the plane). So, in desperation, I thought I'd give Stephen King another chance, even though his past few novels have been less than impressive.

Cell is so reminiscent of the Stand that it is scary and exciting. I'm 25 pages into it and it is a non-stop whirlwind of a normal day in America turned upside-down within seconds -- and the terror just keeps on coming. I've already had nightmares about this book. So far I'm pretty impressed.

The Portland trip was a whirlwind. A great conference, a great town -- raining the whole time. I'll be back up in the Pacific Northwest in a few months. It's always nice to visit.
